One of the most common questions I get as a wedding stationery designer is about pricing.
I know what you’re thinking—“Do I really need to spend that much on paper that most people will eventually toss?” Well, yes and no. Your invitations are the first glimpse your guests get into your big day. They set expectations, build excitement, and (let’s be honest) give your future mother-in-law something to brag about at her book club.
But more importantly, they’re one of the few tangible keepsakes from your wedding that you’ll still have decades from now. When you’re celebrating your 25th anniversary, you’ll pull out that invitation and remember exactly how it felt to plan your special day.
Every couple has different priorities in their wedding budget. Some focus on florals, others on food, and some value beautiful stationery that sets the perfect tone. The key is figuring out what matters most to you and allocating your budget accordingly.
Most wedding planning resources suggest allocating 3-5% of your total wedding budget to stationery. For a $30,000 wedding, that’s $900-$1,500. For a $50,000 celebration, you’re looking at $1,500-$2,500. These numbers start to make more sense when you consider what goes into creating a complete custom suite.
I’ve seen wedding websites mention stationery suites around $600-$750 for a full suite. Here’s the thing—those figures are typically based on template designs or DIY options, not fully custom work. When you’re investing in custom stationery, you’re paying for:
At Loree Mayer Design, my minimum investment is $1,500 because creating truly custom work requires significant time, skill, and attention to detail. This isn’t about markup—it’s about the value of bespoke design and quality craftsmanship.
Being upfront about your budget helps me create a suite that is perfectly you within those constraints. Maybe we’ll use digital printing instead of letterpress to save costs so we can add those custom envelope liners you’ve been eyeing.
Below are some examples of suites that fit within my Classic, Premium, and Luxury packages. Pricing shown is based on a quantity of 100 suites.
All suites include within the base price:
This tier is perfect for couples who value beautiful, cohesive design but don’t need all the specialty bells and whistles. Like all my suites, each Classic Suite design is completely custom-created for you—no templates here! Your guests will still be impressed, and your budget will thank you. The suite shown included a custom pattern and a belly band with the couples names in white ink.
Upgrades within the Classic Suite might include:
This middle tier is where we start incorporating some special touches that elevate your invitation suite from “beautiful” to “wow, they really thought of everything!” This premium suite included a custom die cut and blind letterpress floral wrap with wax seal.
Upgrades within the Premium Suite might include some of the following:
For couples who want an absolute showstopper that guests will be talking about for years, this tier pulls out all the stops. Think multiple print methods, layering, and unique touches. This suite included an acrylic invitation with gold foil, a custom-made pocket with gold foil monogram, custom pattern used throughout the suite and day of, fabric envelope liner, and letterpress + gold foil on the inserts.
Upgrades within the Luxury Suite might include some of the following:
Your invitation suite is an investment in both the guest experience and your own memories. Whether you’re drawn to the Classic, Premium, or Luxury Suite, we’ll create something that perfectly captures the spirit of your celebration.
